Peugeot 206 (98 - 09)

The 206 is one of Peugeot’s most popular cars. It was in direct competition with the likes of the Ford Fiesta and the Volkswagen Polo but has managed to retain prominence in the supermini segment. The 206 has held onto its looks quite well and remains one of the best sellers on the secondhand market with good residual values. There’s a decent amount of space in the cabin and there’s a fairly big boot for luggage. The cabin also has plenty of handy storage cubbies throughout. But one of the main reasons for the 206’s continuous popularity (aside from the price-tag and the fact it costs peanuts to run) is that it is simple and fun to drive. Typically Peugeot, the handling and ride are crisp and forgiving and make you want to push on. The small turning circle makes it a doddle to park. Fine engines with lower MPG and emissions.
